Because Eventually I Have To Die, Maybe
Why is it so hard to get anything done, ever?
Yeah, I’m not going to Seattle. The infamous “Destination Unknown” trip has been cancelled, due to Adam moving back to Lethbridge and me just not having enough energy to get up to pee, let alone drive for that long. I wasn’t even excited to be going. What is wrong with me? I’m going to NYC in three weeks with Adam and I don’t think I’m excited for that either. I’m sick of these temporary flings with travel and awesome places.
I need to move. Somewhere awesome. I wonder how rent prices are in Narnia. That place seems happening.
For fun, here is a picture:
Everett Park in Kingston.

I can SO relate with that NEED to move from wherever it is we’re living! It’s part of life’s condition for those of us infected from a travel bug’s bite. Sometimes, though, we forget to look at the fantastic things available to us RIGHT WHERE WE ARE. (Yep…I’m guilty.) So, wherever you are, find ALL the bitchin’ things to do. Don’t settle on the tourist stuff. Find those nooks and crannies no tourist is likely to find. Then when you DO move you won’t say, gee, I never knew THAT was in my backyard…when it’s too late.
Happy Trails!

Jen B – I love that you mentioned exploring where ever you happen to be with the same enthusiasm as when you travel. This is someone I just dedicated myself to in recent weeks. It’s too easy to get complacent, so I have been trying to get out more and experience more of my city. There are so many fantastic little places to meet fantastic new people!
